Ellsworth Air Force Base, September 20, 2021 – Military veteran/Nutrishop Rapid City, S.D. franchisee Gunnar Swanson is excited to announce that his newest Nutrishop location has officially opened inside the Base Exchange at Ellsworth Air Force Base. On Wednesday, Sept. 22, the new store will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. and a special grand opening event from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. offering prizes and discounts.
“We have always had so many military personnel and their families coming into Nutrishop Rapid City, so it was a no-brainer to open a shop right there on the base so our military personnel could get everything they need without having to travel off base,” said Swanson, who served in the Army National Guard in Iraq in the early 2000s. “Being a military veteran myself, I know what it means to serve our country and being able to open this shop on the Ellsworth Air Force Base is a great opportunity for us to serve those who serve and their families.”
Swanson’s business partner, Chris Aid, will be managing the new location but Swanson will definitely be spending time there as well. Both Swanson and Aid said they have always had a passion for health and fitness. Both also have prior history as gym managers and personal trainers.
